In an interview with BBC Wiltshire, Don S. Davis (General Hammond) stated that "as of yet I have not signed on for season eight."

Rumours have been going around concerning General Hammond. "Things do change at the end of season 7." Don went on to say "We haven't been told whether the change is permanent, or simply a glitch, or part of the story."


Like Don S. Davis, Terly Rothery (Dr Janet Fraiser) was reluctant to talk much about her future with the show until the season has aired.

Writer Joseph Mallozzi said at TVGroove.com that the two part episode Heros "was originally intended to be a stand-alone episode but after editing together the episode, it was half a good 30 minutes long. Rather than cut it down to the bone, Robert [Cooper] opted to right a couple of new scenes that took place OS (off-screen) in the original version - which turned out to be perhaps the most hair-raising scenes in the episode."
